Have you been unable to visit your favourite local coffee shop as often as you used to? Would you love to be able to enjoy great coffee at home whenever you choose?  Well, one of the best ways to symply make your SYMPOSIUM coffee at home without a bean to cup machine, is in a cafetière.

The Best Coffee Beans to Use in Your Cafetière

Did you know that we carefully weigh out every batch of green beans pre-roasting? Our signature blend is roasted in our family-owned micro coffee roastery here in Aberdeenshire! You can’t get better than that!

Don’t have a cafetière?

No problem! Purchase a one cup cafetière from our online shop! There are many different sizes of cafetière. We are selling a one cup cafetière, but whatever size you use, the general rule is 20g of “filter ground” coffee beans per cup. We have coffee beans online that can be ground for you so no need to have a grinder at home.

How to Use a Cafetière

Remove the plunger from the cafetière and add a little hot water from the kettle to pre-heat the glass jar. Pour the hot water out and then add 20g of coffee to the jar and top up the cafetière and leave to brew for 3-4 mins before slowly pushing down on the filter plunger. Don’t push too hard, let it go down slowly and if you come up against resistance, gently lift the plunger and then slowly lower it again.
