Moka Pot

A moka pot brews coffee on the hob, where it uses pressure to push hot water from the base upward through the coffee grounds and up through a tube at the top so it’s ready to pour. Typically, moka pot coffee is a lot stronger than filter coffee, but not as strong as pure espresso. This makes sense, when you consider the amount of water used for each of these methods. This also makes it a great, inexpensive alternative to an espresso machine.

If you want to mix things up, you can add your moka pot coffee to a glass with some ice & your favourite milk to make the perfect iced coffee!

Chemex

A timeless method of making coffee, the Chemex has seen a new surge in popularity over the last few months. A Chemex is a glass pour-over coffee maker that gives you excellent control over the production of your coffee. This is one of the more time-consuming methods on this list, but anyone who enjoys perfection in coffee-making will love this method.

Using a Chemex helps to bring out the flavours of your coffee, and works really well with medium roasts like our SIGNATURE blend or our limited edition Colombian supremo.

Cafetière

Probably one of the most popular methods of making coffee at home, a cafetière works best with coarse, filter ground coffee, and can be a great option if you’ve got more than one coffee lover in the house! This method involves adding your coffee and some hot water to brew inside, before using the built-in plunger and serving. It takes just a few minutes from start to finish, so is a great method to choose if you’re in a hurry.

You can buy a cafetière from our online store too.

Aeropress

The Aeropress coffee maker is made up of a plunger, chamber, micro filter and filter cap. The idea is that the coffee is brewed under “ideal” temperature and filtering conditions, resulting in an excellent final product.

This is another super-quick method, since it takes just 20-30 seconds to press & serve. You can head to the Aeropress website to learn more.

Bean-to-Cup Machine

Looking to kick your at-home coffee game up a notch? Consider purchasing a bean-to-cup machine. Not only does this give you access to amazing coffee at the click of a button, it also gives you the choice to switch up your style of coffee. Lattes, flat whites, mochas – these machines do it all! Bean-to-cup machines are a big investment, but one that’s definitely worth it if you love coffee as much as we do!
